“After Texas: The Fight for Abortion Access,” a virtual workshop organized by The Meteor Fund and the Center for Reproductive Rights, discussed Texas’s extreme abortion ban and its ramifications for abortion rights in other states.
The Center’s senior staff attorney, Jenny Ma, and Amy Hagstrom Miller, the founder and president of Whole Woman’s Health and Whole Woman’s Health Alliance, a client in the case, provided an update on the Center’s case, Whole Woman’s Health v. Jackson, and the real-life impact of the abortion ban on Texans seeking access.
Also joining the panel were Jessica Pinckney, executive director of Access Reproductive Justice, and Dahlia Lithwick, founding member of The Meteor and a senior editor and columnist at Slate, who moderated the discussion.
