Alesia Soltanpanah Joins Center For Reproductive Rights as Chief Development Officer
01.25.22 (PRESS RELEASE) – Today, the Center for Reproductive Rights announced that Alesia Soltanpanah has joined the organization as Chief Development Officer and as a member of the Executive Team. She will oversee all fundraising efforts for the non-profit, working to expand the organization’s donor base in support of its global mission to advance reproductive rights as fundamental human rights through game-changing litigation and advocacy work.
“This is a critical time for reproductive rights, particularly in the United States, where the right to abortion is at greater risk than it has been in 50 years, and where maternal mortality rates are rising,” said Nancy Northup, President and CEO of The Center for Reproductive Rights. “We need more support than ever before. Alesia’s impressive global experience, enthusiasm, and creativity will be terrific assets to advancing our mission and values in the U.S. and across the globe.”
“I’m thrilled and energized to lead fundraising efforts for the Center’s important work securing legal victories for reproductive rights on five continents,” said Alesia Soltanpanah. “Philanthropic support is critical to the Center’s legal battles at this pivotal moment while we fight for access to a full range of reproductive health rights, including maternal health, assisted reproduction, and abortion care around the world. We invite donors to champion our efforts to advocate for life changing, reproductive health access globally.”
Soltanpanah brings considerable experience to the Center, including specializing in fundraising, strategic planning, board development, branding and strategy development for non-profits advancing the rights of reproductive health access, victims of violence, and animals. She served as Executive Director at World Animal Protection US, where she doubled the organization’s revenue and has held leadership positions at Ms. Foundation for Women, Save the Children, and Safe Horizon.
Soltanpanah is a graduate of California State University – Sacramento and Golden Gate University.
