2024 State Legislative Wrap-Up

During 2024, the Center for Reproductive Rights tracked almost 2,000 pieces of reproductive rights legislation across 50 states, and Washington, D.C. This report highlights 2024 legislative trends impacting access to abortion care, assisted reproduction, and maternal health care. The Center works in collaboration with state advocates, legislators, and other key stakeholders throughout the states on law reform—both to enact new protections for reproductive rights and prevent erosion of current rights and access. Teams leading this work at the organization are available for legal analysis and education, policy and strategic communications, as well as other forms of technical assistance.
