Katrine Thomasen
Associate Director for Europe
Katrine joined the Center in 2013 and oversees the day-to-day management of the Center’s Europe program and the Geneva Office. She also develops legal and policy strategies and initiatives and works to strengthen partnerships with governments, multilateral institutions, agencies, and INGOs in the region.
Previously, Katrine worked on international human rights advocacy in relation to a diverse set of issues with the Open Society Justice Initiative, Human Rights Watch and the International Service for Human Rights. Katrine has substantial experience working with a range of stakeholders on human rights advocacy and the development and use of international human rights standards to advance sexual and reproductive health and rights. Katrine holds Bachelor’s and Master degrees in law from the University of Copenhagen, Denmark. She is fluent in Danish and French.
