Heidi Lindelof

Heidi Lindelof is a Los Angeles-based advocate and activist in women’s health and gender equity. After graduating from the University of Kentucky, she worked for 13 years making feature films including Almost Famous, Spiderman, Tears of the Sun, The Island and more. In 2006, she took a leave from the entertainment industry to have a child and began using her producorial experience in alternative ways. Lindelof joined a medical mission in Jos, Nigeria for Global Strategies (for which she was featured on the Oprah Winfrey Show), directed a short documentary for the Children’s Defense Fund, helped launch the literacy & service-learning non-profit Milk + Bookies and supported the making of two documentaries, Bending the Arc (exploring the the global health rights movement through an intimate story of the Partners in Health team who led the fight) and Open Heart. Ms. Lindelof’s former board service includes The UCLA Lab School, The Mother Co. and The Weekend [to be named later], a conference for innovators in tech, non-profit, education, government and art & entertainment. In addition to her service on the Center for Reproductive Rights Board of Directors, Heidi is a proud member of Liberty Hill Foundation’s XX Fund, the Los Angles Women’s Collective, and the Women’s Political Committee, a 250 member organization that empowers women to engage politically to elect women candidates at all levels of government, who support reproductive rights, pay equity, and human & civil rights. Heidi is married to writer / producer Damon Lindelof and is mom to a teenage son in Los Angeles, CA. (Los Angeles, CA)
