Kate Segal, Legal Assistant

Kate joined the Center in June 2011 as the Legal Assistant for the Latin America and Caribbean and Asia programs.  Before joining the Center she interned with the Development team at Immigration Equality.  While there, she worked with donors to garner support for LGBT and HIV-positive asylum seekers who had fled persecution in their home countries.  Prior to this, she was an English teacher in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.  She graduated from Tulane University in 2009 with a degree in International Relations and a minor in Portuguese.
