Kara Loewentheil, Legal Fellow

Kara Loewentheil is a Legal Fellow with the U.S. Legal Program. Before joining the Center, she clerked for two years for the Honorable James L. Dennis on the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Ms. Loewentheil graduated from Harvard Law School cum laude. During law school she served on the editorial boards of Unbound: Journal of the Legal Left, The Journal of Law & Gender, and The Harvard Law & Policy Review; she also served as President of the Board of Directors of Law Students for Reproductive Justice, a national organization focused on reproductive justice advocacy and education on law school campuses. Before attending law school Ms. Loewentheil was a media writer for Planned Parenthood Federation of America. She graduated from Yale University cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa with a B.A. in English Language & Literature.
