Jennifer Sokoler

Jennifer Sokoler, Legal Fellow

Jen joined the Center in 2012. She comes to the organization after two clerkships, most recently with the Honorable Robert A. Katzmann on the Second Circuit Court of Appeals and previously with the Honorable Denise Cote of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.

Jen has varied human rights experience in both the domestic and international contexts. She graduated from Columbia Law School, where she won the Pauline Berman Heller Prize for the highest ranked graduating female law student, the David Berger Memorial Prize in international law, the E.B. Convers Prize for the best original essay on a legal subject, and the Robert Noxan Toppan Prize in constitutional law. She also served as a Notes Editor on the Columbia Law Review and completed an externship in the Office of the Legal Adviser at the United States Department of State.  Jen holds a B.A., summa cum laude, from Barnard College.
