Dionne Scott
Dionne Scott is the Center's Director of Communications Operations, having served previously as Senior Press Officer. She has played a leading role in generating publicity for high-profile press campaigns including the 2007 Supreme Court Federal Abortion Ban case, the Kansas’ "kiss and tell" case, and our ongoing lawsuit against the FDA for failing to make Plan B available to women of all ages without a prescription.
Before joining the Center, Ms. Scott worked as a News Producer for MSNBC and NBC News, primarily covering political news—including following presidential candidate Sen. Joe Lieberman (D-Conn.) on the campaign trail in 2003. She also produced for MSNBC's "Countdown: Iraq" (news anchor Lester Holt's special on the Iraq war) and for the political debate show Equal Time, hosted by Oliver North and Paul Begala. She began her career editing and researching for Time-Life Books' African Americans: Voices of Triumph series.
Ms. Scott earned her MA in Journalism from New York University, and also completed Radcliffe Institute's graduate publishing program at Harvard. She graduated from Stanford University with a BA in History and Feminist Studies.
