Angela joined the Center in 2013 and oversees our state and local advocacy work in the U.S., including our legislative and human rights work. She will be advancing the Center's work under our new strategic plan by enabling us to deepen our non-litigation advocacy work. She previously worked at the Center from 2002-2003 as a Blackmun Legal Fellow.
Before coming to the Center, Angela worked at the National Institute for Reproductive Health/NARAL Pro-Choice New York for six years, where she served as the Vice President of Programs, Co-Interim Executive Director, and Senior Vice President. Previously, she was the Director of Policy and Advocacy at the National Latina Institute for Reproductive Health (NLIRH). Angela also worked the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund through the Georgetown Women's Law and Public Policy Fellowship program.
Angela received her B.A. magna cum laude from Northwestern University and her law degree from Yale Law School. She currently serves on the Board of the National Latina Institute for Reproductive Health and the Board of Ibis Reproductive Health. Angela is also on the Advisory Committee for the Reproductive Health Access Project.
