Alisha Bjerregaard

Alisha Bjerregaard, Legal Adviser for Africa

Alisha Bjerregaard is the Legal Adviser for Africa. Her work at the Center focuses on efforts to improve reproductive health services in Kenya. Ms. Bjerregaard joined the Center after graduating from Yale Law School, where she focused on international human rights law and women’s rights. While at Yale, Ms. Bjerregaard participated in the Center’s fact-finding mission to the Philippines to investigate the impact of a contraception ban in Manila City. She has also worked as a field researcher for Tostan, a women’s health and human rights organization based in Senegal, and interned with Global Rights in Mongolia and the Global Justice Center in New York. Ms. Bjerregaard received her B.A. in International Relations from Brown University.
