Take Action

For more than 15 years, the Center has been working in and out of the courts to advance reproductive freedom as a fundamental human right. The Center engages with policymakers to promote progressive ideas and defeat proposals that are discriminatory or dangerous to women's health.

You can help strengthen our efforts by taking action today!

Pledge to Trust Texas Women

On June 13, 2011, the Center for Reproductive Rights filed a lawsuit to overturn an extremely invasive ultrasound law passed by the government of Texas. Under the new law, a woman seeking an abortion must not only first get an ultrasound, but she will be required to be shown the ultrasound image and listen to her doctor describe the image in detail—even if she says NO.

Quite simply, this law is patronizing to women. It’s based on outdated stereotypes that women are too immature or incompetent to make important decisions. If you’re against politicians making medical decisions for women, then sign our pledge today and say: I Trust Texas Women!

Pledge to Act

The New York Times describes anti-choice bills being introduced across the country as "reckless", "highly intrusive", and building on laws that have already "taken a grievous toll on the fundamental right protected by Roe v. Wade."

Sign the Pledge to Act and tell anti-choice lawmakers that you are ready to fight back.

Tell the FDA: No More Stalling on Emergency Contraception

When it comes to emergency contraception, the FDA has refused to listen to medical and scientific consensus that says there is no rationale for age restrictions. The FDA has ignored a court order to reconsider its restrictions for more than two years so the Center is taking them back to court.

Tell the FDA to restore scientific integrity to federal policy and end restrictions on emergency contraception immediately!
